FAFSA push! The Free Application for Federal Student Aid opens on October 1. If you want financial aid (scholarships, grants, loans) for college, you MUST complete your FAFSA.

Get your FAFSA done as early as you can! The deadline for many schools is December 1, but colleges will accept the FAFSA up until enrollment. If you don't complete this application, you will NOT get financial aid. Email me (Ms. Tembe) at tembesm@lcps.k12.va.us or call me at 540.894.5436 ext 1618 for help. I am more than happy to sit down with you and your family to complete this document, every step of the way.

FAFSA Night: Early October 2018

At our FAFSA Night, we will help students and families complete their FAFSA and send it to the colleges of their choice, including community colleges.

Virginia College Application Week: November 12-16, 2018

During VCAW, seniors will have the opportunity to apply to some colleges for free, and will be able to win raffles and prizes for applying to college and filing their FAFSA.

College Night: Early March 2019

College Night is a time for underclassmen and families to learn about the college-going process. We will have three $500 scholarships to give away on College Night. Free pizza is provided!

Decision Day: Early May 2019

Decision Day is a celebration of seniors and the colleges that they are attending! Seniors make t-shirts with the names of the colleges that they will attend in the fall, and the day at school is an all-around fun time.

Scholarship Night: mid-May 2019

Scholarship Night is a chance for local community organizations to present scholarships to LCHS students. Support your student by attending!
