Elbow Hyperextension
The Purpose: The purpose of this technique is to limit the hyperextension of the elbow.
The Materials:
Pre-wrap
1.5 inch white tape
2-3 inch elasticon
2 inch powerflex
The Positioning: The Athlete should be standing in front of you with the elbow slightly flexed and raised to the front, with their hand supinated.
The Application:
Apply Pre-wrap to the entire area that will be taped.
Place an anchor over the mid bicep and the mid forearm with 1.5 inch white tape.
Place three strips of elasticon in an “X” fashion over the fold of the elbow with medium tension.
Secure the elasticon strips with white tape anchors.
Cover tape job with powerflex.
