Arch
The Purpose: The purpose of this technique is to create support for the arches of the foot.
The Materials:
Tough Skin
1 inch white athletic tape
1.5 inch white athletic tape
2 inch powerflex
The Positioning: The Athlete should be positioned on a table or bench, sitting with their foot completely dorsiflexed, hanging off the table or bench to the base of the calf, and the great toe needs to be in neutral position
The Application:
Spray the arch of the foot with tough skin.
Apply an anchor across the bottom of the foot 1.5 inch tape.
Apply tape from the base of the great toe, around the heel and back to the starting point 1 inch tape. Repeat with each toe.
Apply strips from the medial to the lateral surface of the foot’s plantar surface 2x with 1 inch tape.
Cover tape job with powerflex.
