We recognise the importance of all staff of Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board schools and colleges - you are our most valuable resource. It is essential that all staff are supported and encouraged to prioritise their own self-care and wellbeing.

This section provides links to the supports that staff can access to enrich their personal wellbeing, enhance health and wellbeing, manage and maintain professionalism with colleagues and young people.

Self-care can include lots of practices that you find both enjoyable and that in some way promote your physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental health. According to the definition from the World Health Organization, self-care is the behaviors you do to take care of your own health and can include hygiene, nutrition, leisure activities, sports, exercise, seeking professional healthcare services when needed, and much more.
