In honor of the god Dionysus, the Greeks had two major genres, comedy and tragedy. There were only male actors and only 2-3 per play. Today, the theatre has influenced many forms of entertainment, including TV shows, movies, operas, plays, and Broadway.

The Greeks figured out a way to tell time even when the sun was not out when they invented the water clock. Based on this principle of counting down only a small amount of time in increments, clocks have become the electronic numbers on a screen we see today, a big improvement from looking at a container full of water to tell time!
