Throughout the entirety of the tennis season, expressing your support for the team through donations remains one of the most impactful gestures. Athletes and coaches alike wholeheartedly appreciate contributions such as Penn tennis balls, racket over-grips, and snacks for match days, among other items that may enhance our training and competitive experiences. These seemingly small gestures carry significant weight, not only in terms of the tangible benefits they provide but also in the morale boost they offer to the team.
Your generosity contributes to our success on and off the court, demonstrating a shared commitment to our collective goals and fostering a sense of unity within the tennis community. So, whether it's a pack of tennis balls or a bag of snacks, every donation is deeply valued and helps propel us forward toward our aspirations.
To gear up for the future season for both teams, coaches traditionally coordinate fundraisers to help gather money fo the upcoming year. Fundraising serves as a swift and efficient method to finance the tennis team while fostering camaraderie among participants who come together to show their support. Additionally, event fundraising offers the chance to expand out network with new supporters. All in all, fundraising not only helps us financially but also facilitates connections with individuals who may become future team members.
Common Fundraisers:
Email fundraisers. Typically through an app, email fundraisers send direct money to the tennis team. These occur at the beginning of the season and emails go out to family, friends, neighbors, etc. All proceeds go towards new tennis equipment.
Sales of goods. Occasionally, the team will engage in sales of food, merchandise, or gift cards to raise money. This includes food such as beef jerky or chocolate, merchandise of Millikan Tennis t-shirts and sweatshirts, or coupon vouchers to your favorite fast food restaurants.
Perhaps one of the most popular, food-chain fundraising. As listed to the right, this way of raising money includes simply coordinating with a restaurant. A certain amount of their earnings for a specific day are graciously donated to the Tennis team.
Upcoming fundraisers: Flipping Pizza - Wednesday, April 10, 2024
One final way to bolster the Millikan Tennis Team is by actively advocating for our sport and emphasizing its continuous requirement for equipment and resources. This endeavor can encompass a variety of channels, ranging from the reach of social media platforms to spreading information via online forums, email newsletters, text messages, and beyond. By engaging in efforts to raise awareness about the ongoing needs of our team, we can maximize our collective impact.
By sharing our passion for tennis and explaining the financial imperative behind our cause, we have the potential to galvanize increased engagement and meaningful action within our community. Every voice raised in support, every share, and every outreach effort serves to amplify our message and expand our support network. Together, we can cultivate a culture of advocacy and generosity that ensures the sustained success and growth of the Millikan Tennis Team.
