ASPIRATIONS IN MEDICAL SCIENCES

CALIFORNIA Partnership ACADEMY since 1989

The CPA model is a three-year program structured as a school-within-a-school, featuring a team of teachers who work with the same group of students over several years. This program incorporates integrated academic and career technical education, as well as business partnerships, mentorship, and internships. The curriculum is designed to link instruction across disciplines over time, providing a comprehensive and holistic education for students.

CTE COURSES

Health and Career Eploration

10th Grade Level

The course provides the information needed for defining career choices that culminate in a career plan and are consistent with the student's career goals. As well as addressing the CTE standards, the Health Education Content Standards will be taught. Topics covered include nutrition and physical activity; growth, development and sexual health; injury prevention and safety; alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs; mental, emotional, and social health; and personal and community health.
