CABRILLO FINANCIAL AID COMPLETION DATA
FAFSA & Dream Act applications open on October 1, 2025.
Students will need their parents/caretakers 2024 tax information.
Every senior must complete financial aid before June 11, 2026 (graduation)
There are three ways to complete financial aid:
Complete the FAFSA
Complete the Dream Act
Complete a LBUSD Financial Aid Waiver (available in the CCC in April)

The Priority Deadline is March 2, 2026
Do not wait until the deadline. It can take 4 to 12 weeks to fix any issues with your application, which means your application will be incomplete until the issue is fixed.

Answers to these questions:
Does the student have a Permanent Resident Card ("Green Card")? If so, what is the Alien ID number on the card?
Is the student homeless?
Is the student in foster care?
Are any of the student's parents deceased?
Does the student have any children?
Does the student live with someone other than their parent(s)? If so, who?
Has a court declared the student emancipated (free from parent's control)?
Does the student receive a free lunch at Cabrillo?
How many other people do your parents support? Count your siblings and any family members that your parents support.

The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) provides a ton of money to Californian students every year. The Cabrillo College and Career Center can help each student get the maximum amount of free money that they qualify for. Stop by for help!
This Cal Grant provides free grant money directly to community colleges or four-year institutions for students who complete the Dream Act application on time. Dream Act applicants can also receive a Cal Grant if they meet the requirements. Please see the Cal Grant information below.

The California Middle-Class Scholarship program provides free money to colleges for students who want to become teachers. Students must meet the requirements below.

The Federal Government provides free money, called "Pell Grants," to students who meet certain income requirements that are listed below. Students must complete the FAFSA to be considered for a Pell Grant.
Pell Grants range from $740 to $7,395.
The closer a student's household income is to the maximum amount below, the smaller their Pell Grant will be. If it is above the maximum mount, the student will not receive a Pell Grant but can still get student loans.
