"When you give joy to other people, you get more joy in return. You should give a good thought to the happiness that you can give out." - Eleanor Roosevelt
REFLECTION SEMESTER 1: Overall, in Sports Medicine I really have learnt so many work-based learnings. These were very efficient for me, because I got to learn so much about wraps and emergency things I'd have to know. I really liked how this had taught me so much about these Beyond the technical skills, the semester taught me the importance of the sports medicine team and the legal responsibilities involved in patient care. By practicing these protocols in lab settings, I have moved from simply memorizing facts to critically thinking about how to protect and rehabilitate athletes effectively.
REFLECTION SEMESTER 2: During my semester 2, I felt that Sports Medicine started getting more projects and overall learnings. But this type of pressure was for me to understand, it was so much to learn from and remember from these work-based learnings. I really liked how we're getting into the reality parts of 12th Grade. Mr. White is an incredible teacher, and has always been, he prepares us for our college choices, career choices, he prepares us for internships, programs, summer programs, events. It's been a lot of choices that he provides us, but overall this semester was great, and having an amazing teacher has helped throughout this class. Sports medicine has taught me the importance of treating, preparing, evaluations, and physical injuries related to sports and exercise while covering essential human anatomy and medical skills.
