SLING AND SWATHE - We used this to learn the support system for the injured arms/shoulder/etc. This sling helps support the forearm and holds it close to the body, while the swathe is a band that wraps around the body and the sling to further secure the arm for less movement and more protection. This combination is used for many injuries to help reduce pain and promote healing processes.

REFLECTION OVER THE YEAR: Learning in Medical Terminology in 10th Grade I was able to evaluate new things every day. In 1 st semester, I was able to look through opportunities to explore various aspects of the Medical field through online learning, digital resources, and hands-on experiences. They've taught me much about the medical language, root words, prefixes, and suffixes. We were usually exposed to learning about new environments such as anatomy, physiology, and the pathology of diseases. We've took many tests/quizzes to test our knowledge of what we've learned in Medical Terminology. Reflecting on these experiences, I was able to learn valuable lessons about Medical Terminology, Patient care, and the Healthcare Industry. Career opportunities were exposed as well, in these digital resources we were able to evaluate careers in each system we've learned about. I chose a lot I was very interested in, I did so much research based off the careers I chose. The career opportunities are going to stick with me and teach me more of what I'd like to become to experience in college.
