The DBE program is based on a concept of learning that is part of the socio-constructivist school of thought which places students at the very heart of the learning process as the principal agents of their learning.
The aim of this 2017-2018 project was to help unpack the curriculum and shift the traditional role of the teacher as a transmitter of knowledge towards the teacher as a facilitator and guide who supports students as they construct their own knowledge.
