Driving Directions
For those that are driving in (External Guests), a Reserved Parking spot has been requested for Lot G3.
Take U.S. Route 101 North from the airport — towards San Francisco. Keep going until the junction with I-80. Take I-80 east (toward East Bay or Oakland). Cross the Bay Bridge, staying in the left lanes. After crossing the bridge, follow I-80 towards Berkeley and Sacramento. About four miles later, take the University Avenue exit on your right, and take the left-hand branch of the exit ramp onto University Avenue. Proceed up University Avenue for two miles until you reach Oxford Street. Go left on Oxford and then several blocks later, right on Hearst Avenue. Head straight up Hearst which, above the campus, climbs steeply and makes a horseshoe turn before arriving at the main gate at the Lab. Alternatively, you may enter the Lab via the Strawberry Gate.
From the airport, take Hegenberger Road, following the signs along Hegenberger to I-880 northbound toward Oakland and Berkeley. On I-880, as you approach the skyline of downtown Oakland, get in one of the left hand lanes and take I-80 eastbound to Berkeley. About a mile later, I-80 splits left to I-80 West to the Bay Bridge and San Francisco, and right to I-80 East to Sacramento. Bear right onto I-80 East, which will take you to Berkeley.
About four miles later, take the University Avenue exit on your right, and take the left-hand branch of the exit ramp onto University Avenue. Proceed up University Avenue for two miles until you reach Oxford Street. Go left on Oxford and then several blocks later, right on Hearst Avenue. Head straight up Hearst which, above the campus, climbs steeply and makes a horseshoe turn before arriving at the main gate at the Lab.

LBNL Shuttle Instructions
Masks are required on Lab shuttles
Off-site shuttle stops are often shared with other transit agencies. Remember to wave at the bus driver as the bus approaches so that the driver knows you want to board the LBNL bus.
For safety reasons, shuttle bus drivers can only pick-up and drop-off passengers at designated LBNL shuttle stops.
Passengers must hold on at all times when walking to a seat or standing while the shuttle is in motion or stopped.
Shuttle services are for Berkeley Lab employees and guests with business on the Lab site. All riders should have their credentials or ID’s out and ready to be shown when boarding buses off-site.
Acceptable IDs for shuttle access to the Lab include an official badge issued by LBNL, DOE or UCOP. UC Berkeley student and/or UC Berkeley faculty ID badge when doing business at the Lab are accepted.
Guests are required to present a visitor pass. These have been sent to attendees that advised us that they will be Riding the Shuttle to get to LBNL
Shuttle buses operate Monday through Friday, except on Lab holidays.
TripShot provides arrival times of LBNL shuttles at specific stops.
Shuttle buses and are equipped with bike racks. Helmets are required while riding bicycles within the Lab premises.

Please advise the shuttle driver that you need to visit Building 59. The shuttle driver will then drop you off at Building 65 (flag poles). Proceed up Perlmutter Road to Building 59 Main entrance.

Important tips:
Please be sure to download the Zoom application prior to the workshop.
All attendees (in-person also) will need to log on to the zoom meeting.
Rename your Zoom profile to your First and Last name | Affiliation.
In-person attendees, connect to the Zoom meeting, but DO NOT join meeting with computer audio with laptop. This is to avoid any audio feedback. The conference rooms that you will be in all have microphones within the room.
The Zoom link listed below will be used for the event and discussion sessions.
For discussion sessions, in-person attendees will go into separate rooms with their laptops (remember to still remain not connected to audio).
