Berkeley Lab’s COVID-19 prevention controls are based on vaccination status. Vaccination is the best protection against the SARS CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19. The definition of “fully vaccinated” has changed. As of February 28, 2022, the term “fully vaccinated” means that a person has received a full vaccine series AND a booster shot, when eligible. See the Lab’s COVID Vaccination Policy for more information.
Protocol A applies to workers who completed the COVID Booster Declaration questionnaire and declared to be “Fully Vaccinated”.
Protocol B applies to workers who are not fully vaccinated or have not completed the COVID Booster Declaration. This applies even if you requested an exception or deferral.
We want to emphasize:
Masks are optional (voluntary) for all (but required when riding the shuttle)
Those who are not fully vaccinated (or in LBNL Protocol B) must maintain 6 feet distancing.
