Why Become a Mentor?
As a mentor, you can share your career and personal experience and insights to benefit a professional colleague.
What's Expected of EESA Mentors
Be committed to the program (9 months)
Attend the mentor training in January (TBD)
Identify (with your mentee) goals to be achieved in the mentor-mentee relationship
Agree on the duration and frequency of meetings (we recommend 1 hr/ month for 9 months but this up to you and your mentee), and commit to attending regularly
Suggest, guide, advise, coach, and provide constructive feedback
Ask questions of your mentee to encourage creative thinking, and encourage your mentee to come up with solutions
Build networking connections for your mentee, if requested
Provide a safe and confidential environment for your mentee
Provide anonymous survey feedback to the committee at the end of the mentor program cycle
