Chiplets for HPC and Advanced Sensors Workshop
August 15-16, 2023
Berkeley, California
Hosted by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
Co-organized by the Open Compute Project and iARPA AGILE
The Chiplets for HPC and Advanced Sensors workshop will take place on August 15th and 16th in Berkeley, CA. This is a joint venture with the Open Compute Project, iARPA and the US Department of Energy. The topics to be covered include:
An introduction to chiplets (to level-set attendees from multiple organizations including DOE, iARPA, OCP, NSF, DoD and DARPA)
An overview of recent commercial developments, toolchains, and ecosystems, including start-ups and other consortia for the end-to-end realization of chiplets based designs
A deeper dive into US Government-relevant uses for chiplets in HPC and high-performance sensors
A brainstorming session for research opportunities and Priority Research Directions (PRDs) related to chiplets
The goal of the workshop is to produce a collaboratively-authored white paper (and perhaps on one other topic TBD) within a quarter after the workshop that captures the potential impact of chiplets on future HPC systems, advanced sensors and the research priorities to realize those impacts.
