FAQs
Q: The instructions state that the research plan must not exceed 3 pages. Does this 3 page limit include the reference/bibliography section?
A: The references do not count against the three page limit.
Q: I am a scientist at Berkeley Lab - How do I proceed if I wish to participate in this program?
A: The next step is for you to reach out to CSUEB faculty whose interests align with your projects. The idea is to discuss if the csueb faculty is interested in this program and if they have eligible MS students who could consider proposing a project that is well aligned with both of your interests.
Q: Is the student applicant required to be a U.S. citizen?
A: At this point in time, the student applicant is not required to be a U.S. citizen. However, this may change in the future, i.e. for the next round of applications.
Q: Can a faculty member support the application of more than one student applicant and proposed research projects (by providing recommendation letters for the student applicants). Or is each faculty limited to one student and one project per application cycle?
A: Yes, a Faculty member can support more than one student applicant.
Q: Are we supposed to attach undergraduate and graduate transcripts or just graduate level work?
A: Graduate level transcripts are sufficient, however if you wish to upload both you are welcome to do so.
