The goal of this Innovation Forum is for beamline staff at the Advanced Light Source to learn from research staff at LBL’s Energy Geosciences Division (EGD) about their research projects and related needs for in-situ and ex-situ characterization. In turn, EGD staff will learn from ALS staff about existing tools that could help their research needs.
The goal of this Innovation Forum is for beamline staff at the Advanced Light Source to learn from research staff at LBL’s Energy Geosciences Division (EGD) about their research projects and related needs for in-situ and ex-situ characterization. Emphasis is placed on projects related to the ongoing and upcoming NAWI (National Alliance for Water Innovation) funding calls. This is planned to follow a very focused "pitch and respond" format with presentations from both sides.

Session 1, October 9: In the first session, water researchers will present short presentations on key technical and conceptual challenges they are facing in their work or interests.
Session 2, October 16: ALS scientists will respond with information and capabilities that could be relevant to addressing those challenges.
