About the artist: Linda Boccia began silk painting in 1987 after being a ceramic artist for 14 years and teaching clay in Seattle. Silk painting is like water color painting and the French dyes flow over the silk and sometimes require a no flow agent to keep them from blending into one. Longtime interests in the natural world of space, the oceans and planet environments have been influential themes. The Planck project offered a challenge to silk paint and explore beyond the natural world. Linda can be contacted at lindathesilkpainter@gmail.com.
