Hybrid Classes & Distance Learning

It's not always possible to face our students and provide instruction. Whether natural or biological disaster closes the district or a student is hospitalized, suspended, or homebound, we may need to adapt our strategies to reach these kids.

Here are some resources to assist you in setting up, managing, and troubleshooting some distance learning options.

If you'd like to add or request any resources, please let me know.

How a distance learning lesson might work:

  • Teacher posts a lesson for the day.

  • Students log into Google Classroom to access the materials. They should be able to clearly glean what is expected for that day's "class."

  • Teacher can provide a model of the lesson, an explanation of the content, a screencast demonstration or slideshow, helpful documents, etc.

  • Students work individually on a document or another activity using applications shared on this site or another resource the district utilizes.
