Masking & COVID Policy

At Lavender Spectrum Health we value healthcare justice for all. That means we care about the fact that there are currently no viable ways for immunosuppressed and immunocompromised patients who do not respond to the COVID-19 vaccine to prevent contracting SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. To improve the accessibility of our services, all patients attending in-clinic appointments are required to mask during their appointment. We understand that not everyone can afford high quality masks and provide surgical masks for patients at the door. To understand your exposure risk, please note that patients attending for facial electrolysis at Real You Electrolysis may be unmasked.  We encourage patients to schedule by telehealth when possible.

Due to an increase in COVID activity we are increasing our COVID precautions. If you have any new symptoms that are not a part of a pre-existing chronic condition, please cancel or reschedule your in-person appointment. If you have symptoms that you believe are part of a pre-existing chronic condition, such as asthma or allergies, you will need to test prior to an appointment.

If you are sick for any reason, please cancel your in-person appointment. If you wake up sick the day of an appointment we may waive the late cancellation fee on a case by case basis, but if you have been sick >24 hours prior to an appointment, we expect to be notified and have your appointment cancelled.

Symptoms of COVID include new cough, congestion, runny nose, sneezing, shortness of breath, fever, sore throat, diarrhea, headaches, body aches, and muscle aches. If you have any symptoms listed above, even if you think it's due to smoking, asthma, allergies, weather, etc we are asking for your cooperation in protecting our staff.

If you show up to a primary care appointment with any symptoms as a part of a pre-existing condition, you will be asked to complete a telehealth visit from the parking lot.

If you show up to a numbing shot appointment for in the mouth injections with any symptoms which you believe are a part of a pre-existing condition, even if you think it's allergies, asthma, weather etc. you will need to bring a rapid COVID test and complete it in the lobby 20 minutes prior to receiving any numbing shots in the mouth.

If you are receiving genital numbing shots and show up with symptoms you believe are part of a pre existing condition, we will require you to complete a rapid COVID test and bring your own N95 mask if you wish to receive services that day. If you arrive and are observed to have symptoms and did not bring a rapid test and N95 mask, you will not be able to receive services that day and may be charged a late cancellation fee.

If you have had COVID in the past month prior to an appointment you need two negative rapid tests results on separate days to be safe to have an in person appointment. These policies apply equally everyone even if you are a smoker and always have a cough, or have a history of allergies or asthma.

This is to create a safe work environment for our patients and staff, many of whom are immunocompromised or have high risk conditions for COVID complications. Thank you for your understanding.
