Effective March 1, 2020-Until futher Notice: In response to the ongoing COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic, the CSUN DRES department will now operate virtually. Intake appointments (new students registering with DRES)
Appointments for Initial Intakes take about one hour. DRES is conducting new student intakes by phone or Zoom. During the initial intake appointment, a counselor will review your documentation, approve accommodations and suggest services you may find helpful. Prior to scheduling an appointment, please submit disability documentation. Disability documentation should contain a specific diagnosis indicating whether the disability is temporary or permanent with a concise description of the functional limitations imposed by your disability. Students with a learning disability may submit a High School IEP, Section 504 Plan, or Psycho-Educational Report. Students can also use our Disability Documentation Physical Disability Form (.pdf) or Disability Documentation Mental Health Form (.pdf) to register for services. Fax your Disability Documentation to (818) 677-4932 or email it to dres@csun.edu. Include your CSUN student ID number and current telephone number in the email or fax cover sheet.
