Families joined the inaugural Black Student Achievement Plan (BSAP) family advisory meeting on October 12th, uniting Black scholars' families and community members from Region East. This initiative, aligned with LAUSD's 2022-2026 Strategic Plan, emphasizes family partnership and educational equity. Superintendent Alberto Carvalho emphasized serving the LA Unified community and recognizing their vested interest. The BSAP meetings, centered on Identity, Voice, and Joy, amplify parent voices, promoting student welfare and addressing opportunity gaps. BSAP is committed to eliminating these gaps for Black students. Collaboration empowers families to advocate for change. Join the next BSAP meeting on November 9th, 2023, from 6-7 pm.
