Literature and Information: Library orientations, book recommendations for individual students or for class lessons. Instructions and practice for finding materials in a library, borrowing books, reviewing account status or fines.
Digital Media: Assistance or workshops for creating brochures, fliers, posters, videos, podcasts, audio recordings, or digital books. Various tools available for instruction: Google Slides, Canva, and more!
Printing: Students can use the printer in the library to help with submitting physical assignments, developing projects, and more. The print job may be denied based on the number of pages or frequency of visits due to available resources.
Online Database Tutorials: Instruction for research, advanced searching, keywords, and filtering. Streamlining topics and index terms to support searches. Determining the best sources or databasse for the purpose of a task. (Read Academic Research page for infomation regarding suggested databases).
Academic Research Workshops: Support with all aspects of Research Essays, Projects, etc. Introducing safe and productive searches for unbiased information. Evaluating results for Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, Purpose.
Avoiding Plagiarism: Summarization, Quotations, Citations (MLA, APA), Works Cited.
