Students can elect to participate in our Summer Bridge Experience the summer before their 9th grade year. During this 2 week program, students are introduced to mentors and teachers who will guide them through a project based learning experience that will give them tools to handle the stress of high school, while also making friends and adjusting to high school life.
Program highlights include:
A project based learning curriculum with a final showcase at the end of the program
Field trips to our health industry partners
Presentations from college representatives
Mental health workshops and talks
Program dates: June 15-26 (9 days, Monday- Friday)
Time: 8:30AM- 12:30PM
Along with learning essential high school skills and community building with peers, this program offers 2.5 LAUSD elective credits towards graduation and 20 hours of community service upon successful completion of the program. Please see the requirements below for the program:
No more than 2 full day absences
All required assignments turned in
Present the final project on June 25th
