The LAUSD Digital Library is a large collection of both subscription and free sites for students to use in support of their studies. You can access these databases from campus or at home. If you do so from home, you need to log-in with your Single Sign On.

Students were asked to rethink the traditional teaching of Thanksgiving by designing more historically accurate lesson plans for elementary students. Then they wrote letters to elementary school teachers presenting their lessons ideas. Here's the Thanksgiving subject guide that was designed for the unit.
One class voted to create a butterfly sanctuary on campus in The Nest. The students are using this Butterfly subject guide to help them design the sanctuary based on research about what butterflies need to thrive. The class is planning to write a grant to fund the project and hatch some Painted Ladies once the sanctuary is complete.
