In my class I will be grading students using the Mastery Grading and Learning (MLG). Through consistent and informative feedback on assessments and classwork, students will have multiple opportunities to show progress toward mastery. Students will have rubrics to guide students on their achievements on their learning targets. Students will be provided with resources to work independently at home to master the learning targets.
Final Grade
Final Grade
Students competency for learning targets will be assessed using the Mastery Scale (0-4) to the left. Students will receive one grade for each learning target using the mastery grade rubric below. Final grades will be determined by scale to the left. These final learning target grades are determined by our professional judgement. This might mean that the most consistent grade (4, 3, 2, or 1) or the most recent grade of your assessments is considered.

Students work habits and cooperation grade will be evaluated using the LAUSD rubrics below.
