PROBLEMS CONNECTING TO INTERNET/APPS NOT WORKING (LAUSD iPAD)
If you are having problems connecting to the Internet or an app isn’t connecting, try turning OFF your WiFi connection and turn ON the “Cellular Data.”
If you have this problem, please let your teachers know so that they can get the tech support you need.

HOW TO SETUP PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT AND ADD STUDENT
The LAUSD Parent Portal is a one–stop online system that connects parents and guardians to important information about their children at school, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is secure, it is personalized to your child and it is custom–made for our parents and guardians.
Through the LAUSD Parent Portal, you can immediately:
Your child’s name (as entered on your child’s official enrollment form)
Four-digit Parent PIN

(If you applied to Open online via e-choices, you may already have a parent account. You can reset your password if necessary.) Confirm your account then reset your password and log in to activate your account.
Step-by-step instructions to add your child to your parent portal account can be found athttp://bit.ly/ParentPortalLinking. Log in then scroll to the bottom and click Add A Student. Enter your child’s student ID, date of birth, the four-digit PIN, and the security code from the image/audio. If you are adding multiple children, a separate PIN will be required for each student linked to each parent account.
HOW TO INSTALL DISTRICT-APPROVED APPS ON LAUSD iPad
***NOTE*** Many of the apps require teachers to configure class lists to be able to log in with your LAUSD student account. You may not be able to use all of the apps listed, so to conserve space on your iPad, just download the apps your teacher has asked you to install for use with their curriculum.
Click on the “App Catalog” button on the iPad Home Screen
2. Find the App you would like to install and click the “Install” button
3. The app will show “Processing” as it downloads and installs. You will see a shortcut appear on the iPad Home Screen when it completes the install.
