FREE DATABASES OF ACADEMIC JOURNAL ARTICLES

1. ProQuest | Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL) is another option for research. To access it, you will need your LAPL card number and pin number.  

2. Google Scholar - is a great option.  However, check first that the whole article is available and do not pay.

3. JSTOR - Journals, Primary Sources and Books Need to register through google, will receive up to 100 articles for free.  If you already registered, you can just log in. If login doesn't work, you can click here for password information.

4. PubMed (from the National Library of Medicine) is a great free option for medical or health-related journal articles.

5. ERIC - is a free source of academic articles related to education.

6. IEEE Xplore - is a free database for engineering

7. ScienceDirect.com - is a free database of multidisciplinary academic journal articles.

8. EBSCO   The ULTIMATE Academic Search Engine (sign in through College Board)
