Welcome to FHS Library!
My name is Mrs. Carbone, and I am the teacher-librarian at Franklin High School and Franklin Dual Language Academy. I have been a librarian for 11 years, and prior to that, I spent nine years teaching 6th and 7th grades. I earned my bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, along with my teaching credential and Master's Degree in Technology Education, from California State University, Los Angeles. I then obtained my librarianship credential from California State University, Long Beach.
Library Mission/Goal
The mission of our library program is to provide a welcoming environment to all students, teachers, parents, staff, and community members in which they all feel comfortable coming in to complete assignments, research, or just read a book. The librarian envisions her role as someone who encourages and guides teachers and students in their numerous intellectual quests by teaching them how to navigate through literature and technology at Benjamin Franklin. The librarian helps them meet their goals and supports their quality education.
Library's Goal
The Benjamin Franklin library’s goal is to inspire a passion for learning that values the students’ intellectual curiosity, creativity, diversity, and community involvement.
