What is Dual Enrollment?

Dual enrollment provides students the unique opportunity to take community college classes while still in high school.

Dual enrollment – enables high school students to take college courses, taught by college professors, at their high school campus. These courses can also count toward your high school diploma, allowing students to get a head start on their higher education goals.

Concurrent Enrollment – enables students to take community college courses on the college campus with other community college students. 

When does enrollment begin? In the Spring Semester all students are invited to grade level meetings to learn about the ERHS Dual Enrollment Program. The meetings are held during the school day at lunch in the library. 

How many spots are open to each grade level? This # depends on student interest and student academic achievement. All students have to be on track to graduate with their high school diploma in order to be considered for enrollment.

9th Grade: 40 Spots

10th Grade: 40-80 Spots

11th Grade: 40-80 Spots

12th Grade: 40-80 Spots

ERHS is partnered with Los Angeles City College for our Dual Enrollment Program, these courses are only open to ERHS High School Students.

*Courses have to be approved by department chairs at the commnuity college level, they are not all confirmed. 

LACC APPLICATION & ENROLLMENT STEPS

STEP 1: Apply

Go to: https://www.lacc.edu/admissions/apply

Scroll down and click on College Credit Application Apply NOW

PART #1: CCCAPPLY ACOUNT

·  Click Create Account (DO NOT USE A PREFERRED NAME, USE YOUR LEGAL NAME ONLY) If you have a preferred name please let your professor know.

·  Use your Personal Email or Cell Phone #

·  Continue with creation of account…then

·      Click View More

·  Click step 4 Apply Now

·  Click Step 4 Apply Now

·  Click Sign in

·  Click Start Application

PART #2: LACC APPLICATION

Click Start Application then Click the following:

·  Term Applying for: Summer & Fall 2026

·  Education Goal: Complete Credits for High School or GED

·  Major Category: Select a Major

·      Intended Major or Program of Study: Select anything that includes Associate of Arts NOT CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT

Profile:

·      Education: Enrolling in High School & College At The Same Time

·      All others just click continue and only complete the RED HIGHLIGHTED PARTS.

·  Grades: Enter your best guess

·  Sports: You can skip

·  Click “NO” for sharing your information.

·  Review: Make sure to review your application and confirm your name, address, email are accurate.

·      The end will give you a confirmation #, take a picture and/or screenshot of this.

Step 2: CREATE YOUR PORTAL

Create your Portal using the LACC ID # that will be emailed to you in 1-2 days. 

OPEN THIS DOCUMENT, MAKE A COPY & WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN

• Title the document "Your Name, LACC LOGIN"

• Share with Mrs. Marquez: karla.marquez@lausd.net

Step 3: Complete the "DYNAMIC FORM"

Step 1: Log into your LACC Portal using your LACC ID # and Password your created when you activated your account

Step 2: Click on To Do List

Step 3: Click on " Supplemental Application K-12 Form"

Step 4: OPEN THE LACCD DYNAMIC FORM

***VERY IMPORTANT: You cannot make mistakes on this form, if you do you will not get enrolled.***

• Complete the K-12 Student Information and enter the grade you will be in the Fall

• School Information

  • Eagle Rock Jr/Sr High School

  • Counselor: Karla Marquez

  • Counselor Email: karla.marquez@lausd.net

• Parent Information

  • Click Sign Electronically

  • Add your parent’s Name and their Email (DOUBLE CHECK THAT THIS IS CORRECT)

• COLLEGE ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

  • Select College & Career Access Pathway (CCAP)

  • Plan to Enroll in the following Semsters: Click on Fall or Spring (depending on the Term you're signing up for)

• Example- Term Year: Fall

  • Example- Course: Health

  • Example- Class Number Leave Blank

  • Example- Units: 3

  • Example- Course: Cinema 003

  • Example- Class Number leave blank

  • Example- Units: 3

• Sign & Submit

Don't see " Supplemental Application K-12 Form"? You will have to join the LACC Zoom and have their staff update your LACC account.
