5th Grade Pool Party Committee
Help coordinate the beloved end-of-year pool party for graduating students including food, decorations, volunteers, and event logistics. This role works especially well with a small committee.

Art to Remember Chair
Help organize student artwork submissions and keepsake ordering through the Art to Remember fundraiser program. A great role for volunteers who enjoy art, organization, and supporting student creativity.

Back to School Luncheon Chair
Help welcome Laurelwood teachers and staff back for the new school year! Responsibilities include selecting, ordering, picking up, and delivering lunch for staff before school begins. A simple but meaningful way to support our educators.

Book Fair Chair and Co-chair
Help bring the Scholastic Book Fair to Laurelwood! Volunteers help with setup, shopping days, cashiering, teardown, and event organization for one of the school’s favorite traditions.
Estimated commitment: approximately 10–20 hours per fair.
Community Coffee Chair and Co-chair
Help create a welcoming atmosphere for families during monthly assemblies by organizing coffee and light refreshments. This role mostly involves shopping, simple setup, and cleanup once a month.
Estimated commitment: approximately 1–2 hours per month.
Family Reading Night Chair and Co-chair
Support literacy and family engagement by helping organize this fun evening event celebrating reading and learning together.

Family Snowball Dance Chair and Committee
Help organize one of Laurelwood’s favorite family events with music, decorations, activities, and fun memories for students and families.

Financial Reviewer
Help support transparency and accountability within the PTA by reviewing monthly Treasurer reports and participating in semi-annual financial reviews. This role includes reviewing financial documents, sharing findings at PTA meetings, and helping ensure PTA funds are handled responsibly. Great for detail-oriented volunteers who enjoy organization and spreadsheets.
Estimated commitment: approximately 1–2 hours per month plus semi-annual reviews.
Green Team Liaison
Serve as a bridge between the school and PTA on sustainability and environmental initiatives. Great for volunteers passionate about environmental education and student enrichment.

Honorary Service Awards Chair
Help recognize outstanding volunteers, staff, and community members who make Laurelwood special. Responsibilities include organizing nominations and coordinating award recognition.

Morning Greeter Chair and Committee
Help organize volunteers who welcome students during morning drop-off and support safe, positive starts to the school day. Great for parents who enjoy community-building and helping students feel welcomed. Committee members volunteer during the morning drop-off ensuring children get to school safely and traffic is controlled.

Movie Night Chair and Committee
Help organize outdoor movie nights for students and families including setup, concessions, equipment coordination, and event logistics.

Multicultural Events Committee
Help celebrate the diversity of the Laurelwood community through cultural events, activities, and family engagement opportunities. Great for volunteers who enjoy community-building and inclusion efforts.

Project Cornerstone Chair and Committee
Support student social-emotional learning and classroom community through reading, discussions, and classroom engagement opportunities. Great for parents who enjoy working directly with students. The chair organizing the in-class volunteers.

Pumpkin Festival Chair and Committee
Help support Laurelwood’s largest and most exciting community event! Volunteers can help with games, decorations, concessions, setup, cleanup, ticketing, and more. There are opportunities for every level of involvement.

Reflections Chair
Coordinate Laurelwood’s participation in the National PTA Reflections Arts Program and help celebrate student creativity through visual arts, music, writing, dance, and photography.

STEAM Night Chair and Committee
Help support an exciting evening focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities for students and families. Volunteers help coordinate activities, communication, and event logistics.

Help organize father/father-figure volunteer participation on campus and encourage positive school involvement and mentorship opportunities.

Yearbook Committee
Help capture Laurelwood memories that families will treasure forever! The Yearbook team coordinates photos, page layouts, editing, and yearbook production throughout the school year.
This role is creative, collaborative, and especially great for parents who enjoy design, organization, or storytelling. This is a flexible, mostly work-from-home role and would make a HUGE difference by helping share the workload during the spring production season.
