Google Certified Educator Level 1- Fundamentals Training
Welcome to the Google Certified Educator Level 1 certification course! Level 1 Certification is for educators who want to focus on the practical application of the Google for Education tools and demonstrate proficiency in using them in their classroom. The Level 1 Fundamentals Training Course is designed to teach you strategies for integrating Google into your instructional practice. Earning the Level 1 status indicates you are able to successfully incorporate Google Apps for Education tools to enhance teaching and learning. After passing the Level 1 certification exam, you will be reimbursed for the exam fee (1 attempt only). Let's get started!

Exam Details
-180 minutes, no pauses
-You will need a working web cam during the exam.
You will need to create a test taker account that will be used for this exam and any future exams you take for Google for Education Certification. Please register for the exam at least 24 hours prior to the time you wish to take it. You will receive an "Exam Ready" email with a unique link to access your exam. Be sure to do the system check included in the email to make sure everything is working before you begin. You will have 8 days to take the exam after registering.
Taking the Exam
Use the unique link from your email to access the test. You will also need a working webcam for the exam.
(If you don't pass an exam, you can take it again after 3 days. If you don't pass a second time, you must wait 7 days before you can take it a third time. If you don't pass the third time, you must wait 14 days before taking it again. A fifth attempt can made 30 days later. Payment is required each time you take an exam.)
Laurel will pay for your first attempt of the Level 1 and Level 2 exams. You will need to pay for the exam when you register and then send your receipt to along with reimbursement for via email (jconrad@laurel.k12.pa.us) for reimbursement. If you have to take an exam more than once to pass, you will be responsible for the fee.
Level 1 exam fee: $10 per attempt
Level 2 exam fee: $25 per attempt
After Passing the Exam
Your certificate and badge will be emailed to the address you used to register to take your exam. If you did not receive a copy, please check your spam folder or log-in to the exam platform. Please upload your certificate to the following Google Drive Folder
