As well as our Friday Celebration Assembly, where children are recognised for their commitment to their development that week, assemblies also take place on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
Monday morning assemblies have different themes and are led by different members of our school staff or external visitors: examples of some visitors are Reverend Joyce and Reverend Andrew from St Martin's Church and Imam Usmani - the Imam of Maidstone Mosque, as well as the Kent Music Roadshow.
Wednesday morning assembly is our singing assembly, and pupils as well as all staff adore this time together. Pupils' singing can be heard throughout the school and it brings a smile to everyone's face.
Kingsley in Year 1 says, "I like assemblies at school because they are fun.
I like the assemblies about being kind in school because I liked the book about the otter and the rabbit."
A book we have read together at assembly, and reflect on regularly is Do Unto Otters. It's a story about otters moving in next door to Mr Rabbit and how they are going to treat each other.
The book is great fun for both adults and children and we have included a youtube link here so that you can enjoy it at home together!
Would you like to deliver an assembly to our pupils?
Are you involoved in the community, an organisation, any type of job or charity that you think would benefit our pupils to learn more about?
If so, get in touch with the office.
