We have had a fabulous start to Module 5 and for the majority of our time have been celebrating PE in the fresh air! We are focussing on mastering the skills of agility, balance and co-ordination and are enjoying different activities that include jumping, running and throwing. Yr 3 and Yr 6 are very fortunate to have Adrian from Kent County Cricket on a Friday morning, delivering the Chance to Shine Programme and I am looking forward to seeing them transfer their skills into some sporting events in Term 6! Finally, it is warm enough for Robins to have the chance to use the balance bikes and they look forward to having their turn.
Swimming continues for Yr 4 & Yr 5 and it is a delight to see how they are progressing and as always, we are being complimented on the behaviour of our children.
Please can I remind you that black PE shorts (not lycra) are part of the PE kit and it is an expectation for them to be worn for PE. Please also ensure your child has a water bottle because when we finally get some hot weather, it will be important for them to drink regularly during their PE lessons.
Finally, if any child would like a tennis ball to take home to practise their throwing and catching, please ask me as I have plenty to share.
