Joe is a national speaker and expert on digital learning with a particular interest in MFL. He has prepared a bespoke session for LAT MFL teachers, which will include a wealth of ideas on how students can use their Chromebooks meaningfully and effectively to support their MFL learning. It will also provide MFL colleagues with ideas to build digital learning strategies into MYP and KS4 lessons.

One of our research and development champions will also be showing English teachers how to get the best out of their visualiser! In this session we will be looking at evidence-informed practices to help students develop their own metacognitive skills using different strategies with digital tools. We will be looking at modelling our own thinking, promoting & developing metacognitive knowledge for homework whilst encouraging independent and self-regulated learning.

This session is an introduction to the use of the online mini-whiteboard site whiteboard.fi. As well as showing the basics of how to use it yourself, the session will give you some practical ideas for its use and applications that you can implement in your lessons the very next day.
