Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to you at the end of an exceptional week. The children have settled in admirably, prepared and excited to learn and work their hardest despite the uncomfortable temperatures. It has been a joy to see how they have adapted to their new surroundings and enjoyed the company of their peers once again.
New staff also continue to settle into life at Oaks and have gotten to know the children exceedingly quickly. I thank you for your efforts to introduce yourselves and make them all feel welcomed.
Standards of uniform and attendance have been of the highest order this week with several classes achieving 99% or more! If your child has attended school in trainers across the last week then please ensure they are in school shoes moving forwards.
Please remember that we operate a one-way-system in the mornings upon dropping children off, this takes you past myself and Mrs Osborne and to the school hall doors or Early Years and allows an efficient flow of traffic and no bumps.
Please also be reminded that making phone calls on school site or video calls is not permitted and is a safeguarding breach. Use of phones is only permitted when directed by a member of our senior leadership team in an emergency.
Enjoy the photos of the children having a fantastic week and enjoy the sunny weekend!
Mr Moore
Today, we said goodbye to Jody who has worked in our Ducklings for the last few years. She is moving on to work in a school closer to home and a different year group.
We know she will show her new pupils as much care and love as she has done at Oaks.
Thank you, Jody!
Now that staff and pupils are settled back into school life, we will share a letter with you on Monday 11th September detailing the clubs that our staff will offer after school.
The letter will let you know when the clubs are available on the My Child At School App to book a place.
Please only sign up your child if they wish to particpate fully in the club. We always have waiting lists so if your child is persistently absent from club or does not wish to do it, the place will be allocated to another child.
