Overview
LASD IS CURIOUS
What happens when students lead their own learning and dive deeply into a question that matters to them, and share their voices in powerful ways? Illuminate LASD is an annual event that invites students to become experts, innovators, and change-makers. TK to 8th grade students from across LASD will take the spotlight to share what they now know and can do by sharing the process and products of their learning. This event lends itself to a variety of learning experiences within the class or at home, working individually or collaboratively with their peers or with adults amongst any topic they are interested in exploring. Whether it’s researching a topic they’re passionate about, solving a problem that inspires them, or creating something to make an impact, students will share their final product and the artifacts that highlight the learning process.
