About Me

Hello!  I teach 7th grade World History and 8th grade US History  at Egan. I have been teaching for twenty-five years. Before Egan, I spent five years at Loyola (LASD), fourteen years in Sunnyvale and two years in Japan. I graduated from Miami University of Ohio and later got my teaching credential at SJSU. I grew up in Ohio, lived in Japan for two years and then traveled the world for a year. I have two children, both in college. When I'm not reading or learning about history, I spend my time hiking, doing yoga, and enjoying time with family and our labradoodle.  

Junior high students are filled with curiosity and great energy.  I know this is an important time in their lives. I will be here to help your student navigate their years in Egan and to help them make positive memories.  I am looking forward to a great year!
