About Miss Gibo
Fulfilling My Childhood Dream
Ever since I was in second grade, I always dreamed about becoming an elementary school teacher, so I am excited to be back for my 13th year at Covington Elementary School. As a former kindergarten teacher and now a first grade teacher, I absolutely love helping our youngest learners grow! Their natural enthusiasm for learning and compassion for others make me smile every day and give me so much hope for the future. I feel so fortunate to be part of such a wonderful community of parents, staff, and of course... our Covington Coyotes!

My Passions
Along with my passion for teaching, I also love traveling, reading, baking, and doing yoga! From tapas in Spain, to camel rides in Morocco, to fish markets in Japan, I absolutely love experiencing new cultures. With this in mind, I look forward to helping our first graders realize that they are a part of a world where differences should be celebrated!
