CC6 Expectations:

Some of the skills that students in the CC6 course will cover by the end of year include:

  • Solve problems using proportional reasoning

  • Divide fractions by fractions

  • Compute accurately with decimals

  • Find GCF and LCM of two numbers

  • Use positive and negative numbers to represent quantities in real world contexts

  • Solve problems by graphing

  • Read, write, and evaluate expressions

  • Solve real-world problems by writing and solving equations

  • Write, solve and represent inequalities

  • Find the area of 2D polygons

  • Think and reason algebraically

CC6/7 Expectations:

Some of the skills that students in the CC6/7 course will cover by the end of year include:

  • Divide fractions by fractions

  • Find the GCF and LCM of two numbers

  • Graph points in all 4 quadrants of the coordinate plane

  • Use multiple operations with positive and negative integers, fractions, and decimals

  • Represent proportional relationships as equations

  • Solve multi-step ratio and percentage problems

  • Expressions with whole number exponents

  • Identify equivalent expressions

  • Construct equations and inequalities using variables

  • Solve problems using area and circumference of circle

  • Solve surface area and volume problems

  • Think and reason statistically

  • Compare two populations

  • Use a probability model to find the probabilities of events

  • Find probabilities of compound events
