Behavior
- Speak and behave with courtesy
- Maintain a quiet environment
- Use books, laptops, and other materials appropriately
- Clean up and return items where they belong
- Refrain from eating in the library (drinks with lids are OK)
Procedures
- Sign in when you arrive and sign out when you leave. Choose “Unsupervised period” as your teacher if you are here for an unsupervised period; if you have an assigned teacher, select their name.
- Like the rest of LAHS, the library is a no cell phone zone during class periods. This includes Power Hour. Silence and stow your cell phone in your backpack for the duration of the class period. Noncompliance may result in your cell phone being turned in at the office.
- Stow your backpack on the floor, not on the furniture
- Use earbuds for audio
- Sit at a table or use other library-provided seating (not the floor)
- Students are not permitted to roam campus. Stay in the library or sign out to leave campus entirely. Supervised Study students are expected to remain in the library for the duration of the class period.
- In accordance with school procedures, students in the library are not released during the first or last 10 minutes of the period. Please plan accordingly.
Students with online classes and/or Unsupervised Study are expected to follow the Unsupervised Study Expectations
