WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I AM ABSENT?
STUDENTS should email their teachers, if they feel well enough, about make-up work. If you don't feel well enough to email then you probably don't feel well enough to work yet! If you don't hear back then ask your teacher when you return to school at an appropriate time. It is always a good idea to add your parents to any email you send so it keeps them "in the loop". It is very important students practice sending the initial email when appropriate. PARENTS NEED TO CALL OR EMAIL MS. GONZALES WHEN THEIR STUDENT IS ABSENT.
HOW DO I ACCESS GOOGLE CLASSROOM?
Each teacher has a code for each class. Ask them the code for their class, check your email, ask a friend, etc.

I am struggling....What do you suggest?
1) Are you completing daily work in class?
2) Are you attending school regularly?
3) Have you stayed after school for extra help on a regular basis? Once or twice is often not enough to catch up AND stay current.
4) Are you retaking tests to relearn material and improve grades?
5) Is there someone you can use as a "study buddy"
6) Are you struggling in multiple classes? Have you contacted your teachers/counselors for guidance?
7) Are you participating in extracurricular activities? These often help with time management and success, not hurt. It helps to feel connected in school and learn time management strategies.
8) Parents, have you asked how you can support your child at home?
