Please keep reminding your student about spelling homework this week.  We will also be sending home spelling bee words.  IF your student would like to participate we will have a 5th grade competion on November 13th.  

We have finised our nonfiction reading skills unit and are moving on to FICTION!  We'll be reading My Brother Sam is Dead, a historical fiction novel that takes place at the the beginning of the Revolutionary War and The Fighting Ground, by Avi.

Please expect a bit more homework if students don't finish reading their chapters during class or DEAR time. They will have to take notes on post-its due the following class day.
