Students who read below a 7th grade level according the the Reading Plus Assessments, will be completing comprehension and vocabulary lessons each week, in order to advance. These assessments will be given three times this year. Students will be placed in the appropriate assignment level after each assessment.

Students who read between a 7th grade level and a 10th grade level according the the Reading Plus Assessments, will have the option of working in the Reading Plus program or reading a novel and completing a project from the Choice Menu.

Students reading above a 10th grade level according to the Reading Plus assessments will be required to read a novel and complete one of the following projects.

***Students looking for a novel may choose one from this list Mensa Reading List or they may get a novel of their choice approved by me. Please ask your child what they are reading and engage them in discussions their novels with you. Many on the list have subject matter that can lead to "meaty" conversations.
