Easton Jones

This week's student feature is 6th grader Easton Jones. We asked him many questions like “What is your favorite thing about our school?” and many more. Easton loves the sport baseball and hopes to make the school team. One thing that many people don't know about Easton is that he has two brothers, Eli Jones in 8th grade here at Jena Junior High School, and Beau Jones in 4th grade at Goodpine Middle School. Easton loves to play video games such as The Hunter Call of The Wild, Rainbow Six Siege, and Fortnite. He is very excited for Jena Junior High sports. He also thinks that one of the most fun moments of his school year so far is the sneaker ball on August 21st at Jena Elementary School. Easton hopes to beat his diagnostic scores for the middle of the year (MOY). Lastly, Easton wants to tell everybody and his future self to never give up and always try your hardest.

Madeline Randall 

Meet Madeline Randall, our featured 7th grader this week! She is in her second year at the junior high, and she is already super involved all over campus.

When she is in class, Madeline says ELA is definitely her favorite subject. She really loves her teacher and likes getting to be creative. In fact, she wants to use that creativity to become an Art Teacher when she grows up! When she isn't studying, you can usually find her staying busy with school sports. She splits her time between playing basketball and doing cheer.

Some fun facts about Madeline:

Fynn Falgoust

For the Student Interview of the Week, we interviewed Fynn Falgoust. Fynn is in the 8th grade and moved here last summer from Alexandria.

Fynn’s favorite hobby outside of school is fishing. One of his skills is that he is very good at golf. His biggest inspiration is Phil Robertson. He decided to come to Jena Jr. High School mostly because his family moved here. He was excited for his first day of school. His first thought about the school was that it was a fine school.

The biggest challenge for Fynn was getting used to the new curriculum, but he soon found out that the work was easier than he expected. He was surprised by how chill his new teachers were. What made Fynn feel like he belonged here was that the other students have the same interests as him.

One of the sports Fynn plays for the school is football, which is where he found his first new friends. He is most excited about the upcoming football games.

Overall, Fynn is excited about the new school year and looks forward to learning more about the school.
