Incoming Students

Once you have accepted your admission to LASA you will have a placement audition in the spring semester to be held on Saturday, May 3rd in the LASA Orchestra Hall. Audition requirements: 

• Scale of your choice (students may select a major or minor scale from one to three octaves)

• Solo piece of your choice (from 1-3 minutes). Use this chance to show off your skills and technique!

Mentoring Program

Students interested in working with an orchestra veteran on their skills are encouraged to reach out to Ms. Horvitz. Whether it's preparing for an audition, working on vibrato, or getting tips on advanced bow technique, we are eager to help others with their musical goals. 

Don't Be Afraid To Ask Questions!

The Orchestra Directors and the officers are happy to help in any way that we can! We are always hanging around the Orchestra Room in our spare time, so just come on over and find us.
