Welcome to the LASA Orchestra Website!
The LASA Orchestra is a growing, inclusive, high-quality 9-12 orchestra program at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy located in Austin, Texas. It is part of the Austin Independent School District where we believe that a Fine Arts education is essential for the development of the whole child. The arts provide students with unique experiences that allow them to explore their passions, maximize their creativity and critical thinking skills, and learn valuable lessons about self-motivation, dedication, teamwork and communication.

Until 2021 LASA orchestra students were members of the combined LBJ/LASA Orchestra program. As Orchestra Jaguars, LASA students have been playing in Austin for over three decades and have received multiple awards and commendations. In the Summer of 2021 as LASA moved to its own campus, the LASA Orchestra Raptors were born. The program consists of students from the Liberal Arts and Science Academy that meet as five different performing ensembles. We are proud to showcase excellence at all our events and contests.
Orchestra offerings at LASA provide learning and performing opportunities for students of all levels.
