Honeysuckles are, in fact, an invasive species found in Kentucky. The scientific name is Lonicera japonica. The honeysuckle on this trail is native to Japan and China. Also, if you are feeling adventurous, the necter that is inside a honeysuckle can be extracted and eaten by you.
Pull off the flower.

A string-like thing will appear.
If you keep pulling, the necter inside will be accessible and eaten.
