Hello students and parents:

It is with great pleasure that  I will serve as your schoo counselor for the school year 2023-2024.  My name is Mr. Maldonado and I have been at Macdonell Elementary for 18 years.  I look forward to working together with teachers, administrators, and specially parents to meet the academic and social emotional needs of our students. 

Throughout the year, I will provide guidance counseling lessons, individual and group counseling sessions, along with parent and student presentations.  My goal is for every student to development and improve their social emotional well being.  Every student deserves to come to a learning and nurturing classroom and I will do my best to help you feel welcomed and excel in your academics.
