Annual Student Technology Expo

Laredo ISD hosts an annual student technology showcase where elementary, middle, and high school students work together with their teacher sponsors in the creation of technology-infused projects focusing on various digital learning categories tied to the TA TEKS.

As a means to celebrate their extensive work, students are invited to present their projects during the showcase.  Elementary and middle school student coders also get to participate in the district’s Annual Code-A-Thon.  In addition, campuses  participate in a technology booth competition to creatively highlight the theme for the year.  Awards are presented to all winners at the conclusion of this event.

The 18th Annual Tech Expo will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Laredo ISD Performing Arts Center in the A. Nelson Conference Room. The theme for this year is:

RETRO TECH REVOLUTION

TECHNOLOGY THROUGH THE YEARS!

This theme emphasizes how technology has revolutionized education over the years, empowering students to engage in more dynamic and interactive learning experiences, while preparing them to be 21st century digital leaders.
